Food Safety Certification

 

8/6 – Monday 8:30AM – 5:00PM

State law requires that specified food facilities employ at least one person who has successfully passed a California State approved and accredited food safety certification exam. Certification is mandatory and re-certification is required every five years. For more information call 415-781-5348.

How to Run a Profitable Restaurant – Beyond Food Costing

This class will cover: understanding food, beverage and labor costs. We will provide you the tools to develop schedule forecasts, recipe plate costing, and inventory management. $35 Registration Fee. Presented by the SF SBDC.

Proposal Preparation

 

8/7 – Tuesday 8:30AM – 5:00PM

Learn how to strategize for a winning price; how RFP (Request for Proposal) elements influence strategy; how to develop the tech proposal; past performance; how the winner is selected and the proposal review process. There is no cost for 7(j) eligible businesses. This activity is funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) contract number SBAHQ-11-C-0020. SBA’s funding is not an endorsement of the contractor or any products, opinions or services. All SBA Programs are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis. The Perfect Office Relocation: Moving While Staying Connected and Productive

 

8/13 – Monday 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Moving an office is a complicated undertaking that needs a coordinated multidisciplinary approach. You need a team of experienced experts and good planning. The Office Manager is usually put in charge but may have never done this before. You can count on your space planner and build-out people to help, but if your IT person hasn’t done this before, watch out. A properly prepared IT professional can make the difference between severe business disruption and continuous operations. If you are planning a new office, this is a must session on how to plan and move your technology to keep email flowing, your Internet presence continuous, and your computer user’s productive.

Taxes and Your Business, How to Prepare Schedule C

Review what the IRS wants to know from you and how to report it on the Schedule C for your business. This is a class for business owners who need a basic understanding of their 1040 Schedule C tax forms. We’ll also talk about what to do with the numbers once you have them. We don’t guarantee you won’t get audited, but this class will make it less likely.

As a program of the SBDC network, which receives funding from SBA, Tech Futures Group advisory services are provided at no cost to the small business client. However, prospective clients must submit an online application and meet certain qualifications to be accepted into the program, such as: be a small technology-based company, have intellectual property, and have a strong potential for growth.
