Kilowatt Charges Up National, High-Profile Events – San Diego Business Journal

Kilowatt Events, Inc., a specialized event production company, has successfully made the transition from leasing to ownership thanks to the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 504 Program. The company recently acquired a 6,000-square-foot facility in San Diego, CA, valued at $2.6 million. This acquisition, facilitated by TMC Financing, involves a 25-year, below-market fixed-rate loan that not only ensures stable occupancy costs but also paves the way for the business’s future growth.

Founded in 2015 by Anthony Dittmann and Jenn Marks, Kilowatt Events has emerged as an industry leader, orchestrating a wide range of high-profile events, from televised sporting spectacles to red carpet affairs. Serving as general contractors, they boast an extensive client roster that includes some of the most recognizable names in both the entertainment and corporate sectors, such as the NFL and ESPN.

As Kilowatt Events experienced rapid growth over the years, their leased premises became inadequate to meet their expanding needs. Anthony Dittmann, co-founder and CEO of Kilowatt Events, remarked, “We had outgrown our previous space and were eager to establish ownership of our property for greater stability.” Dittmann added, “We started with just one employee, and now we are a team of 13. Operating out of a cramped, single-room office with limited storage was holding back our potential.”
