Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. Opens Fourth Location on Phoenix’s Historic “Miracle Mile” with Help from SBA 504 Financing

Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co., one of the state’s largest craft brewers, has opened its fourth location in the Valley, situated on Phoenix’s revitalizing historic “Miracle Mile.” The new 9,800-square-foot restaurant and brewery, located at 1418 E. McDowell Road, blends rustic charm with urban vibrancy, featuring a U-shaped bar made of Arizona ash, a scratch kitchen, and expanded brewing capacity.

Co-founders Jonathon Buford and Patrick Ware transformed a long-neglected building into a vibrant space through extensive renovations and local partnerships. The location’s menu is deeply rooted in Arizona’s culinary scene, with locally sourced ingredients from partners such as Arizona Grass Raised Beef Co. and Don Guerra’s Barrio Bread.

The project, which totaled $4.4 million in investment, was made possible through SBA 504 financing facilitated by TMC Financing in partnership with Gateway Bank. The funding covered major renovation costs and more than $775,000 in brewing equipment, helping Arizona Wilderness increase production from 3,000 to an eventual 10,000 barrels.

This expansion is expected to create 32 new jobs in addition to the 160 already hired and further solidifies Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co.’s commitment to sustainable growth, community collaboration, and local entrepreneurship.
